The Bear Team was established in 2011 by Fred and Glenda Stowell. Since the inception, the team has purchased Build-A-Bears and dressed them in hand sewn scrubs for sick children at Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital.
To date, over. 17,700 sick children and families have been touched by The Bear Team's efforts.
The less stress and anxiety a child has, the better their recovery from an illness will be. A stay in the hospital can be difficult for a child. Our mission is to collaborate with the community and provide bears to as many sick children as possible.
You can be part of the excitement by making a donation to Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital.
In the memo, please write "The Bear Team #5163". All donations are tax exempt.
