CNY BEARTEAM

Our team was established in 2011 to buy Build-A-Bears for sick children at Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital. Our mission is to collaborate with the community to provide bears to as many sick children as possible.

We have people of all ages that help raise money, as well as, volunteers who cut materials, sew, and dress the bears

The bears are given to the children at Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital dressed as doctors and nurses. We enjoy working with seniors who love to be a part of our team using the skills they have developed throughout their life. We also welcome young people, under the age of 21, who will receive community service certificates for their participation.

In 2014 through 2018, we expanded to include the new Cancer Treatment Center for the children at Upstate (2014). Gift Bags for Children under 3 (2015). Ronald McDonald House (2017). With your help we can also continue with kids Cancer Center.

In 2022. we delivered 1,797 Bears to Children at Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital. Also, we delivered 82 to the Ronald McDonald House & Compassionet.

In 2023, we 1706 Bears to Children at Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital.

As of 2024, we have donated over 17,360 bears dressed in scrubs to the Children's Hospital.
